After three days of rain, I finally took a chance to check on the nest and saw that the baby catbirds have all hatched. All four beautiful little ones with eyes still closed, but mouths were open to be fed.

I will keep monitoring them throughout the time and see what they will look like with feathers :)

Omg.... they are so precious!!!! I totally love birds in general, kept many as a pet when I was a kid. Your little catbirds are so beautiful!!! I know they are still missing their feather, but to me they are beautiful this way too. Thanks for sharing :)

Ha..I think it is just an internet bully, which is not worth mentioning! I was just too excited to see the thread Catnip and replied without looking at the date the thread was posted. I am just glad that I don't have any relation with that person, giving the fact that everyone has a choice to exit should they see something they don't like.

Anyway, you have given me a GREAT name, and for that there is a smile on my face :)

Glad you think think so! It is truly an extraordinary experience for me to watch and wait for them from eggs to hatching and to mature.

Here is the second day of development, and I hope you will like this one too. The mother was just about to peck my head out too :)

Ok, now I do know who you are talking about, lol. Oh yes. You made the right call, not worth to answer that kind of messages, I always ignore those :) Not because I agree or anything like that, but just because I have enough issues to deal with in my everyday life and am not making that another one, no way! You go girl! Some people have nothing better to do than playing smarty pants online, lol.

That is right @Trellum there are so many things in my life right now too that need my attention and energy. I feel bad for those who have to deal with that person on a daily basis when she rampages :) though.

Yeah, I call that kind of people difficult people, just for short, lol. By the way, I love the last pic you showed us of the baibes, they are so beautiful! The tiny feathers remind me of dark cotton candy, lol. Glad you could also show us the mom, she is very pretty (y)

@Trellum It is funny that there was another user posted a comment right underneath her raving lunatic post about me in the thread, Growing Catnip!

Here are some pictures of the babies for you; I snick in to take them while the mom was out searching for food. I believe they are about four to five
