Dusty Springfield's version made No 8 in the UK but didn't feature, or wasn't issued in the USA

Several versions were released, every one used the same orchestration.

The Honey Bees (really The Cookies under a different name).

The Paris Sisters

and of course Carole King who wrote it.

Nino Tempo & April Stevens.

These are a brother and sister duo popular in the 50s and 60s

He'll be 85 now and she 91.

This is from the 80s, it was #1 in the USA in 1963.

Nino is an accomplished tenor sax jazz musician

I managed to get a copy of this from America, it cost me about £20 with the postage which makes up half the price.
It's quite rare so I didn't mind.
It was in excellent condition considering it's nearly sixty years old. Plays well on my 51 year-old jukebox.

Actually this isn't old but it could be.

Not my sort of music, but my wife likes the lyrics.

So much so, she got me to order the CD which comes out on Friday.

That presented a problem. She uses the Sony TV in the lounge, under it there's a Philips CD/DVD/VHS player I bought about fifteen years ago. It was only really used when the grandkids came up to stay to play some kids videos and not since. Not been necessary as we've Virgin Tivo boxes under both TV sets, so she can record programmes on that.
So we had to hunt for the remote today. Eventually amongst all her "stuff" we found it, but the batteries were knackered and had leaked a bit. But a good spray of Solvisol switch cleaner got it going again with new batteries.

When I bought these TVs last year (there's a matching Andoid version in the front room), I did buy a scart to HDMI converter for this player, as it only has only scart sockets and the TVs only HDMI. So we had to find that, plug it in and do a dummy run. Fortunately it's working OK.
