Been watching these videos of Neil Sedaka he's 81.

I've always liked Neil Sedaka, he went to Juilliard, so had a proper musical education.

He's one of those pop song writers, who started with the melody, then fitted the chords round the tune, rather than start with a chord progression and fit a tune to the relative notes, which makes a lot of tunes sound similar.

He recorded a slow version of "Breaking Up is Hard to Do," which I like to play.

It starts off as how you remember the original, then halves the tempo, there's also a key change in it.

Another old favourite.

Daryl Dragon died last year at 76.

She'll be 80 this week.

They were married for 39 years, but were divorced two years before his death.

Self Isolating as usual, with the garden up to date, time for other hobbies

From my Keyboard player's message board a song I recorded and posted today.

I recorded this a while back on my old PSR 1000. But my Tyros 5 has so many better styles.

"Surf Rock" is ideal for this simple little tune by Tod Rundgren.

It's from his 1972 double album "Something/Anything." This didn't feature in the album charts (despite me purchasing it) and the single only made number 36 in the UK. I bought the 45 on eBay ten years ago and it's in one of my two jukeboxes

Anyway, I like it.
