I use it every spring around my roses, It gives them a jump start and I end up with nicer flowers and the seem to bloom longer.

I’ve used Epsom salts several times on and off over a period of 3 seasons on tomatoes only. It seems to help if they have blossom end rot as a side dressing but that’s about all I noticed. I don’t use it anymore as my soil becomes more fortified each season, it’s simply unnecessary. That and a shot of cal/mag supplement in liquid form works faster and better, in my experience.

I have read we should use sulfate and suplhur if ur soil is alkaline , it prevents plants from absorbing nutrition from soil if its too alkaline , in some plants , it can b Epson salt (magnesium sulfate) does that job to neutalize soil if its out of balance for some plants ,

I use vinegar or liquid fertilizers to drop the pH when I water or feed my plants. You’d be surprised how many people dump water that’s 8.0 or higher on their plants and have no idea they’re suffocating them. Plus if you start with a raised bed and materials you pick, you won’t have an alkaline soil.
