La Garden. First you tried to shut me up, then you tried to close the thread.
Pathetic.

Hello folks. I hope that you were all healthy and well. Hopefully for most of us, our gardening is not impacted by sheltering in place rules. Our gardens might be very important soon.

I see talk of victory gardens at other sites. All of us here can help share gardening knowledge with people who are new at it in other forums.

Gardening like it's for real here. Stay safe, shelter in, make it a drill even if you think covid is overblown. But exponential growth is happening, we will know soon.

Just act like this is practice for the "real" epidemic which will eventually show up. Find the weak spots now, and improve your chances for later.....

"Our gardens might be very important soon." ...mine always has been super important to me and my family.

We grow 100% of the beans we consume every year, 100% of the okra, 100% of the cow peas, 95% of the tomatoes, 95% of the onions, 90% of the potatoes, 95% of the corn, 50% of the cucumbers, 50% of the melons, 100% of the broccoli, 100% of the cabbage, 100% of the Kale, 100% of the Swiss chard, 100% of the beets, 90% of the Jalapenos and bell peppers and chili peppers, 50 % of the carrots, 50% of the radishes, and 0% of the lettuces and celery...and some others I forget.

My Mother was my garden inspiration and taught me a lot..some of which I find myself doing even now without even realizing she taught me to do that. Nothing I would love better than to see other people get into gardening and raising their own veggies!!

Spent some time to sharpen up the old pitchfork. And things of that nature. For garden use of course. That's what I did today.

I've noticed during my daily runs that there are more people out riding bikes and such, which I guess is a good thing, but it sure does make it difficult some times to have to make room on narrow paths. Luckily I stick to the roadways on my bike, most people go for the back streets and trails on the bike, plus there are less cars still out there.

Road cycling is the way to go during pandemics!!!(y)(y)(y)(y)

I don't watch live commercial TV.
With sport on any channel, I don't watch that live either.
I record everything I want to watch, then watch it later, half an hour later being the minimum, so I can avoid irritating adverts on commercial TV and irritating sports pundits on any channel.
Lately, when fast-forwarding through adverts, as well as the usual proliferation of familiar on-line gambling adverts, I've noticed glimpses of a few new ones.
Is it because these on-line betting companies see the "self-isolation" of millions of people as an opportunity to cause even more financial misery for the most susceptible?

The government should get a grip of it.

Picked up the paper this evening.

Bearing in mind there's absolutely no sport going on in this country at the moment, why are there so many "Headlines!" on the sports pages?
