I have Amish make mine so they are very plain so it would be up to me to paint.

I don't know for sure if this is true but my understanding is Bird Bath in Summer is more important than Feeders.

Bird baths are important all year round if there's no supply of water for them close by. Mine isn't fancy, just a dish on a pine log but it serves it's purpose for all types of birds. :) I clean it every day and de-ice in the winter months.

I like the base you have Cindi. :) The Woodpeckers here would destroy it unfortunately.

That's what happened to mine..it froze and cracked . It's just ceramic. I patched it but I like flowers in it instead
