Backyard ponds

The pond and the surrounding area is so lovely. I can just imagine sitting near it relaxing with a cold drink and a book. I had ponds in different yards for a number of years and I enjoyed them so much. I see no reason why you could not put vegies in around the pond, but I do agree that the raised beds to keep the roots from getting to wet is a great idea.
