We've got termites. They eat anything wooden. Black ants eat them. One all.
Such is life on the land.

our plum tree fruited massively this year, we had a couple of buckets full and had stewed plums and made jam and chutney, but there were masses that got over ripe and fell, or we dropped because birds had pecked them, they littered the floor under the tree. This morning they were all gone, I reckon it was the badger had them, stones and all, bet he had a funny tummy after.

I would love to have 3 gallons of plums to make 6 gallons of wine.

We have a buddleia, Michaelmas daisy, and Indian berry bush in a row, all covered in insects at the moment. Watched a hornet patrolling them today waiting to pick something off, it eventually had a butterfly.

My wife caught a picture of this pup crossing the ditch 2 houses down from me last Easter morning. Even though I live in the city near malls and freeways I have seen deer right behind my house, a fox in my driveway etc etc...Never seen any UFOs or aliens though....

:sneaky:Sassy lady! Shooed her many a times. Threw her built house twice. She wants this place alone. Finally laid her eggs:cautious:
Gave her coir. Pushed them away.

It looks like a Dove @Nili and they are persistent birds. :)

This is a Collared Dove that we have here in Britain...

We get a pair collared doves and three wood pigeons on our patio. We like the doves and can't stand the fat wood pigeons. If they arrive, a magazine thrown at the French windows sees them off.
