Georgians grow a lot of vegetables and fruits, make cheese, cottage cheese, wine, honey. You will not see beautiful gardens with flowers there, although the beautiful climate gives many opportunities for this. I think they just do not have the time for this.

Georgians very well meet the guests. Georgian hospitality knows no bounds. This you can see everywhere. Portions of food in the cafe are huge! I was on a trip with my son, who is 15 years old. When we saw the mountains of food on a plate, we began to take one serving for two. Everything is very delicious! But a lot. And inexpensive.

This is one serving of khinkali. And one serving of fruit.

I can murder some of these. Unfortunately, I am having bland apples and boring bread after spending me dough yesterday!

Dumplings or khinkali from the supermarket and "made at home" is a very different meal. Perhaps, if someone cooked real dumplings for you, you might like it. :)

Yes, I know. It could be very dangerous eating during holiday. Also, even in this country, there is a deliberate inclusion of FUNNY meats in a lot of supermarket ready made meals .. I tried not to eat too much ready made meals as they either taste too sweet or the meats taste funny - not chicken, or pork, or beef or lamb ..or turkey:eek:! The mind boggles!
