Thank you Alp, i haven't tried duck and hubby can't eat pork joint makes him feel unwell, but he can eat sausages and bacon.

Not much to do in the garden, still got to tie up the new growth of the blackberries, leave that to the new year. Then i'll cut off all the leaves of the hellebores. Got all my seeds, a tithonia that grows to 3ft and a calendula that thinks that it's a F1 hybrid bedding plant that flowers all the time.

Tithonia is lovely. The orange is just so vibrant. Monty's favorite. I will get some more chrysanthemum as I have seen some lovely one still flowering now. Mine is still in flower. I have the yellow ones as well. Quite a few of them in the garden, together with penstemon Apple Blossom!

You mean 10am. Gosh! It's going to be very cold your way, Zenj. How goes the Christmas tree? We are born nosy, you know!

It's cold but incredibly sunny and the air is contaminated a bit. Son wants to go to GCs - but can't go every day. So the car will say where it is too!

Going to the garden soon to return some plants to the soil. It's like a nightmare.

Just now the estate agent asked me how much I would put a price on the house even if I was not interested in putting in an offer. I literally told her that I would not be part of her scheme to squash the price as I have frequently heard my estate agent telling me this in order to pressurise me to lower the price. What annoyed me most was that she phoned me whilst I was in the area asking me to view another house. Was very annoyed. I asked her if the garden was big, and she said she hadn't measured it. When we were there, the garden was a strip of astroturf of about 20 feet by 10! So just now I just told her I would not be part of her scheme to pressurise the sweet old lady who had just lost her husband and needed the house sale to move to Devon. She was ever sweet and I sensed her sadness and vulnerability. If I had no intention of putting in an offer, why would I do that to the old lady? I felt myself very rude when I put down the phone to the estate agent staff; but with her thrusting a viewing on me on the back of a lie, I think she deserved it. Increasingly, I feel let down by pushy people who have not treated me with politeness or fairness. They whisper in your ears to do this, to do that and leave you in quandary at the drop of a hat. Why made me waste my petrol when I specifically asked her about the size of the garden? She was there to view the house with me.

I have senior moments all the times. I literally ask my son, "What is it that I want coming inside the house?"

Some precious seeds - I had totally forgotten about them and thank heavens of the dead leaves and stems stopping them from flying away.

Then these 4 seeds are even more precious - Alstroemeria plant which I bought for £2 and I have split it into 3 plants and only this one has some seeds.

Grand total: 4 and a half seeds.

2 roses testing the temperature!

These gazanias are just teasing and tormenting me!

Been out weeding and tidying up for 2 hours. Nice to have a dry spell even though it's cold. So much green waste. Another headache for gardening.

I haven't made them yet, it's tomorrow. Always put a bit of sherry in, no chopped mixed nuts, hubby has to be careful with his teeth these days, poor thing.:ROFLMAO:
I'll have a bit of sherry myself while I'm making them.:D

Nuts can be very vicious. Son loves the crackling pork skin and my ex was so scared as he broken his molar whilst trying to crack the crackling pork. Now, he would give it a miss. I'm not buying any alcohol as it will only make my face go purple and I go dizzy straight away. I have stocked up Terry Orange which is considerably smaller. 2 x KP peanuts and a bag of worthington sweets. More to follow. Will go to Morrison to get 2 x whole salmon.

Yes it's best that he does. It's because you're not used to it. I got drunk on babycham once, i had 10 of those little bottles of it. When i was married to my first hubby, went to the pub on a friday night, the next day i was still drunk and had to go to work.

We've got a tin of celebrations and a tin of heroes chocolates.

10? Crikey! I only need 1/3 of a small glass to achieve that.

Just now read an article on how to make your home greener. It suggests turning the thermostat to 18c!:rolleyes:

I have just turned mine to 18c as the precious boy is not here!

Good morning and it's very quiet and quite cold. I begin to wonder if the dough fails to raise because of the cold. Very annoying- 3 days running and I have the sinking feeling that it is not rising again, but I wouldn't dare to open the lid. The breadmaker is in the lean to which is probably too cold.

16c is not really worth turning on. How about your living room temperature? Is it 16c or the gas fire makes it higher?
