Yes, been to Wilko and the plants were exactly the same as last year. Very disappointing, especially when the iris rhyzomes were dry, hard and old like me, but asking for £2 instead of £1 last year. A man in Thurrock Gc said it was a bit late to grow.

Today is going to be a write off and so is tomorrow! Rain again!

If you didn't buy from Wilko last year re Dahlias, it's worth going as they are quite reasonable, Perki!

Morning @alp might feed the hellebores this afternoon with chicken manure pellets. Do some homework this morning. You be careful in your garden, don't want you slipping.
My parsnips haven't come up yet.

Logan: Thank you for the advice. Won't go out today or tomorrow. 2 whole days of rain!:cry:

You must have missed my question on blueberries. Where should they be positioned please? And what should I do with them now to boost yield please?

I also have black raspberries. What do I do with them please?

Ok :)
Yes i did miss your question, blueberries like full sun. Give them a feed next month with ericeatous plant food. Don't prune them, i only prune out dead wood.

Raspberries give them a high potash feed or sprinkle wood ash around them. :)

As luck would have it, I have several plastic tub of MiracleGro ericaceous slow release pellets! Hurrah!

Will woodash burn the roots?

That's great, follow the instructions on the container.

Are you planting them in the ground? If so I wouldn't put woodash on the roots. Sprinkle some around the plant on top of the soil after planting.

They are all portable. I would do that. I have some camellias in buds. Very excited. Something new this year. A whole day of raining. I am off in a minute. Just sort out my banking first.

Oh ok. Just sprinkle some around the soil in the pot, it won't burn the roots from there.:)

Where was your original post? :)

@alp they look amazing. I've put the chicken manure pellets around the hellebores and the rhubarb. Did a bit of weeding, then hubby did a bit until he got cold. Soon be time to do the doggy walking.

It's not cold here at all and even the drizzle has been very fine. But my helper is hogging the settee having a kip. So I am having a batch on the internet. Crumbs, I don't really look forward to another COLD SPELL! Evil.
