I have quit my part-time job. (n) (y) (n) (y)

He had agreed to give me 20 hours a week, and it never happened. The last straw - I was scheduled to work 6 hours on a Monday, and that was it. I was tired of having to ask - When am I working next? So I put in my two weeks notice, and he actually seemed surprised. (And a bit disappointed...)

I've given it some thought, and decided I'll go job-hunting again after spring is over; once it is too hot to be enjoyable outside. That way, I can get my flowers and veggies planted, and then ignore them through the heat of summer. :ROFLMAO: :D (y)

...still the BBQ utensil side to approach... I'm thinking Copper Tubing and "S" hooks lol

 Green painted wood greenhouse, green painted wood bar, green painted wood trellis, green painted wood wine rack, and green painted wood condiment holder. . . with copper tubing and S-hooks? :cautious:

Nah!! You can do better!! ;) (y)

S'gotta be something green painted wood!! A green lattice "skirting" around the bottom of the grill? A decorative piece of "picket fence," like the one in front of the greenhouse, except hanging on the wall...? An arch? An "awning" type thing attached to a plank, hung on the wall? ... Lay awake another night, I'm sure you'll come up with something better! :D :sneaky:

Well... ... Umm... ...

I guess I should say, I am the "dreamer," my boyfriend is the "builder." I am forever saying, "I like this thing, but I want it to do this..." ... and he figures it out.

Green painted wood...something... (y) o_O  :D

Good morning to you, MaryMary - I think the Brits like that kind of green. If you had been the Westminster, it has been decorated with this green and subliminally, it's associated with snobbery, class, monarchy and credibility. This green and a certain of blue and purple .. and violet. So deep inside, BigC is a posh snob! LOL!

You see, this green does look very majestic. It inspires respect, durability and sturdiness, which our BigC epitomises!:LOL:

Pugin was the man behind this craziness - a genius who overworked and probably never slept, like bigC!

Boy, I love Pugin and wonder how he could manage all these .. A lot of fine details and the colour schemes were so bold and unusual.

I went to the parliament, but the whole experience was marred by a female guard who singled me out for padding, or patting. I so wanted to smack her and it was so hot that day!

I like the green that Colin has chosen, it's relaxing and calm. It's a nice colour for the garden, it blends in.

Don't think it's Colin, Logan! I make that mistake all the times with several threads open.

We have Trolls in the virtual Allotment
Talking about virtual, Abba has got back together and recorded 2 new songs and they're going to do a hologram of them singing and do a venue, but they won't be touring. Agnetha Faltskog said that they have separate lives now and it's impossible. But how can they turn down something like that.

Just finished my roasted dinner. Had to do the pork joint and chicken together to save money. But the potatoes didn't taste that brilliant. Life is cruel: Why are there more thighs on a chicken? I love that part of the bird and yet there is only a pair. Wish someone would produce chicken with 4 legs ...:D

The weather has been very nasty to those along the SE coast

Man dies after being washed off harbour wall as heavy rain and 60mph winds bring flooding to the South East – and there's plenty more to come
  • Storms bringing torrential rain and gusts of up to 60mph are set to batter areas of the UK throughout the day
  • Heavy rain could even turn to snow in higher parts of England, where temperatures will plummet to 0C (32F)
  • Met Office issues warning for South East, saying the torrid conditions could cause flooding and power cuts
  • Temperatures will remain low today with 8C forecast for London, 12C in Manchester and 6C in Norwich

    Please read the article

  • as the awful weather has done a lot of damage .. Sad that a man lost his life! RIP!
