BigC - £500 is definitely posh notch.. How has your £19 Screwfix baby fared?

She would never let me rise above my station .I am affiliated to the down trodden

Thank you for the joke at 5.53 in the morning. I definitely am beneath the down trodden. Unknowingly SLUMMY!

I might get one for son, better than a Superdry jacket which is too hot for summer and too cold for winter! He is now afflicted by brand name and is constantly clouded under an aura - impaired by lack of critical judgement.

@Perki Such a neat garden and please upload your irises for me to feast my eyes on. .. Bet you sit in the sun and have a beer or tea from time to time! As I said, advertise for big barrels or pots in gumtree or freewheely. Some old ladies might have a few lying around .. I am going to collect a set of very dirty gardening furniture and will upload photos for advice as to how to clean wood and repolish.

Talking about chillies: saw ready to plant chillies in Wyevale - ghost ?? Amazing how popular chillies are with men - they own the bragging right.

Funny year for hellebores - new buds just opening for some. This picotee could never be photographed as it is terribly buggy.

These two are still going strong. New flowers

Until a few years ago hubby didn't like chillies, it was only when i got a free packet of seed and grew them that he slowly got to like it. I was a bit reluctant because I always suffered from heartburn a lot and doctor told me not to eat spicy foods, but i'm alright with it.

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory

Great pics as always @alp ..Tulips are not really my thing..simply because they dont last so long but I can appreciate why folks do like them and there are some nice one's amongst your collection

Good morning Everyone...Kinda slept in so to speak...must have been the vino
Fine rain has soaked everything, still warm but Mother Natures watering can is full to the brim it seems...wont get much done today except in the Greenhouse..but we'll see...I would like to get some of those Petunias, Marigolds and some Sweet Pea put into the wall troughs at some stage in the proceedings

REM the salad leaves I sowed the back end of the week in the greenhouse @alp , well lo and behold they are starting to germinate, wow that was really quick...I knew they come fast but this is the fastest I've experienced over the 3 seasons I've grown this variety.

Excuse me, I love Eurhythmics! Far better than The Carpenters! More energy, more original. Love the driving rhythm, about one of the few bands that I like.

I must say I like daff less than tulips. There is always an element of surprise with tulips. Daffs - I like the small ones with fragrance - singles for me!

I love chillies with chilli oils and a bit salty on the side. You only find it Chinese restaurants. Yes, the last one James Wong and Michael Mosley on was won by a white woman! Amazing! So far, she's still alive, unlike that guy who died from misadventure. Men should really be careful when they got naughty. Look at the larrikin who swallowed a slug .. I cry for him and his mum!

Mother Nature watering can hasn't done a good job and missed out on my area.

Been to the park

Look at the beautiful cherry blossoms

Now now you two :LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL:
Today I..or should I say We...got a massive amount of work done in the garden in-between the showers...Planted a few new plants and shifted and repotted a fair few more...I got some painting done, Fitted the Clock/Thermometer to the house wall. tinkered with the compost bin a little and planted the troughs...Demolished an old garden love seat hahahaha...profound statement hahahaha...All in all the old homestead is really getting a Garden makeover...still need to tackle the borders....and treat the grass...such a productive day...relaxing now with a nice mug of coffee.
P.S. I still have a long list of things to do.......and plants to acquire.

How cool would that look like in the middle of the lawn...
Wonder if I can convince her

Acer griseum

I think it is one of the least elegant of the acers, but each to his / her own taste. Acer palmatum dissectum always get my vote!

How should I upcycle, @BigC please?
WOW...I wouldn't do to much to that @alp ...What a find....If it were me I'd rub it down and give it a couple of coats of Bullseye 123 to seal the wood...Then paint it in a nice garden colour of your choice...You know I like green hahaha..for the table I would just drill a hole for a large patio umbrella and make a Lazy Susan to fit around the base
thats if it were me...others may have differing ideas lol

This be my next project (with a few BigC embellishments thrown in for good measure)
providing I can get hold of 2x Euro Pallets...
