Good morning: If you don't want weed, best is line it with kingspan or thick polystyrene board, like the hot tub composter. The turnover is fast as well and the high temperature sterilise the compost. And the stuff really looks like compost. I have several heaps of the composted and in-composted materials at the back. I need either to burn it or chuck it. It just doesn't look like compost.

Yes, you must have airflow, but to be able to rotate the dalek helps aerate the materials inside and increase the surface area for faster composting.

BigC: Clever man like you can make both - hot tub and conventional.

Good Morning all, (@Logan is always the first downstairs lol) looks like it's shaping up to be another beautiful day..Off to the GC soon :)
Hmmm.."Kingspan" now there's an idea...1" Kingspan liner....nice one @alp I'll look into that..but first lets get her built and finished. (@MaryMary I will drill some ventilation holes and cover on the inside with fine mesh). A small note on dimensions for anyone who is interested in these things, the unit measures roughly 24" x 24" x 42", its not overly massive and obtrusive in my small garden...This season will be used as a trial and if all works out to the good then I might consider building another or something larger.

6:00 a.m. and she finally gets her first coat of sealant, just as the sun was comming up

Who's talking about money/ Action man!? Don't digress. Love that colour of the unit. Would love to see how it rotate. Make sure inside is not treated. Wonder how it works. But you must know how to figure it out.

Went out to the garden to pick snails and slugs .. Already an iris bud has been damaged. Blast the SS!

I have never used hot water bottle in bed.
I do occasionally if a particular joint is very painful, helps me drop off to sleep quicker.

We rarely even change to our winter quilt, keep to our 4tog one. We only put our bedroom heating on once this winter too, hate a stuffy bedroom....like to keep windows open ajar :)(y)
