LOL! I didn't read the last bit of Upsy's advice. Yes, why not?

Kingston Lacey is gorgeous. Haven't been for a long time as it is quite a fair way from ours!

Think it's a bit early for rhodos. We saw no movement last time we went to the park.

You know, Upsy, I never thought much about camellias and learned from Monty that we should water it in summer or the buds would fall. That's what happened to mine. I didn't even like my flowers until this year. Because of the rain, the shrub has put up a good show. Why driving round to buy a Williamsii x Debbie, thinking that I haven't got it, I saw tons of houses with a camellia in their front garden. Some pink ones are especially endearing and some got trimmed like a standard. It's amazing how I get so warmed to camellias now. Off to watch TV!

@BigC yes they are perennials, everything dies back but will emerge again in spring.

Most places seem to only sell the seeds ,but you could try your local nursery ,they may have a wild flower section.

I'm ashamed to say that I can't do links:shame:, but Google 'Really Wild Flowers Shop'.....think you may be able to buy plug plants(y)

@alp, yes I had heard about the need to water them to prevent bud drop, keep meaning to, but forget!:D:ROFLMAO:

Ours aren't really in the right place as they get the early morning sun but they are too big to move. Even if were able to, not sure were we could put them:(

They are lovely though :)

Wet this morning but its been nice afternoon / evening.
Potted on the lobelia into their final trays

Give the lawn a quick trim
Done some repairs on the lawn around the edge where it probably been damaged by overhanging plants or moss.
Somehow I manged to find myself hand picking bits of weed grass out of the lawn , kind of saw a little bit weed grass ended up with me crawling around on the lawn inspecting the grass o_O

Nice pictures upsy. My camellia in the wrong place as well but I not to fussed, its not flowered yet and not sure it will, its got buds on it still.

Mine on a baking hot west facing border, next to my bay window, so you know how hot it is, same as cistus, peonies, but surprisingly, a hellebore washbabies flowered two years in a row. It sort of hid itself in between the camellia and cistus and I thought it was the wrong place for it and moved it to the back garden, setting it flowering back.

Good morning to all. Did a huge bonfire last night. Today, going out to weed early. Weeding means crawling or hunchback walking .. Looks like my white-flesh peach tree is dying. Not a flower!

I'm going to dig up a new area for my plants. Hope all the chillis, and various seeds come up this round. I sowed 3 trays of salad leaves. Please come up and enjoy or endure the sun, salad leaves!

Viburnum Plicatum Mariesii

After flowering, it will have to go to the cruel wide world to face the SS and our freaky weather.

£8 for a plant like that was really a bargain. Plants Outlets in Wickford for those who like this beauty.

Morning all, another super duper day today!

Sadly not one that I will spend in the garden, but never mind.

Have to attend a meeting in town with social workers and other relevant medical professionals to sort out a care plan for a dear friend who has no family.

It's so easy to forget how lucky we are, and not appreciate our families more for the support they provide.

Have a lovely day .....don't forget the sun screen, I got caught yesterday!!!! Ouch!:)(y)

@Zenji: You've really got the magic touch - so many flowers on the maroon and freckled hellebores :D;). So far, I have had a black double hellebore!

Funny enough, some hellebores are having their first flower!:LOL:! What freaky weather we have had!

That's an interesting daff. I should have used a brush to stick the pollen on the stigma of tulips. But having watered 7 rounds, No, I need to chill!

Wonder when I should use the Epsom salt. May and September I remember.

Been out digging up new ground for new babies and it was like in a sauna. Been out since 9:15am and just sat down to a horrible glass of Pepsi. Don't even like the stuff. But I am swimming in sweat.

I must sound like a spoilt brat.... 26c? Most people would rejoice. Not me, here!
