A most miserable day. Sun out for half an hour and all clouded over. Not very cold, but not that cheerful a day.

Spent most of the day taking up a pair of net curtains. I took them up too much, because i cut them i hadn't got enough, had to undo them and take them up more for a shorter window. If that makes sense.Made sure that i got them right. Never done that before.

That's the trouble with net curtains. You have to be very accurate or a brutal cut will render them useless.

Watched Heston Blumenthal's crispy potatoes yesterday ... so much fat that the spuds were soaked in them. Would love to try to make one though .. I think he literally fried the potatoes in half ..

One more coat to the ceiling and then to the wall. I will delegate it to son. Need to take cuttings of all my osteospermum. Done the yellow single ones. Need to do the purple and the double 3D.

Need to take pics for @Upsy Daisy 's new thread about views from your back windows.. Ooops, I might have to cheat a bit..

@alp yes Whopee. What shall i do first.
I do fried potatoes on a Saturday, but i cook them first. Don't get a lot of fat if i drain them after. I had the new nets in their unopened bag for months,i thought I'd better do them, wish that i hadn't. I'm usually good at it.

You're getting there slowly,it does take time.

Going to repot the polyanthus plants that i did from seed, their doing very well.
Got hubby to get some rootgrow, going to transplant a rose that's in the wrong place.

You mean mycorrhizal hormones? Very dear. I saw people cutting up some weed in the lawn to use them as growth hormone.. Very interesting.

Not a bad start here,a bit on the cloudy side at the moment, but the sun is trying it's hardest to peep through!

Lovely pics @alp.....I visited there too in August as it's only a 10 minute drive from my sister's place ...and while she was hospitalised that was one of my afternoons off treat.Stunning place, well worth a visit

Lovely flowers, @Zenj Bet you must be escaping from the din in the kitchen .. My son was plastering upstairs and every time he jumped down from the ladder, I thought he would fall through the ceiling.. The floor board is so thin and poor. But I must restrain myself or I will find more to do, to paint and to repair and we will be stuck here, poisoned by the toxic haze!
