Wildflower garden

I plan to section a part of the yard off to plant local wildflowers, I picked up a book to give me more ideas but it is for the wrong region. I live in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Anyone here ever do a wildflower garden? Which flowers did well for your area. I would like plants that do not need much sun or water. We may be in for a drought again this year.

As far our pro gardener told us. He said that plants need sun and water for the healthy growth. If they don't find it then they will become withered.
