I am watching and waiting for mud to dry up so I can plant corn and beans. Our weather is still 40°f + at night then 70°f during the day and another 5 days of rain. We had tornadoes Friday it rained 7.6" in 1 hour. We have another week of rain in the forecast for a week. I often plant corn and beans May 10 but not this year I probably can not plant them until 1 week after rain stops. The dry stream behind the house had 24 ft of water in it the road and bridge are under water and can't be seen in this photo. TN is very hilly all the low land become lakes in the spring then June to Sept is often 100°f with 1" of rain per month soil is dry as desert. Potatoes seem to be doing better than ever this year if rain continues to June 10 we might have best harvest ever.

No gardening today. I've been chasing up quotes for a new mains water supply.
Over the years, it has steadily decreased. I know United Utilities know the pressure is less than it once was, but that's because of the new builds in different areas of Manchester.
They have tested it at the water meter and the pressure is still at a level which they are obliged to provide. It'll be the deterioration in the lead pipe which is now sixty-odd years old. A couple of years ago I had to take the return springs out of my two lawn sprinklers as the pressure wasn't sufficient to make them "pop up" with them in. But lately it seems even lower. It's a £1000 job, but worth it in my opinion.

Edit
I checked, the tree in my previous post is about fifteen years old.

Rained here all day until about 3:pm. My garden is starting to come on! Ins e 10 tomatoes growing on 9 plants. Okra starts are coming up. I’ll transplant those late this week.
Y’all stay dry!

I was all over it today. Wife asked what I did today?

Everything outside got watered.

It rained today. So!

Truth I did water some inside plants and repotted some.

Too wet to do anything.

The white wisteria is taking over from the fading blue.

I like a bit of symmetry. I need to get round to wiring these tree azaleas the rain has made the water laden blooms on branches bend down. Then they'll behave better next year when they have "set."

Tied up some plants. Watered.

We sold several plants. Sold a Geranium for $20.

I'd love to sell some plants. So far just giving away Hardy Geraniums, but I don't pot them. Interested people come over and I just give them lots out of the garden. Have more still.
