In some circumstances, excessive nitrogen causes the ultra dark green color and leaf distortion. The leaves sometimes appear to thicken and feel leathery

Would you post the NPK of the products you are using? I'm curious as to how much N is to much. Every year I worry about over feeding my tomatoes when it first happen to me. I use organic granular fertilizer for the long haul. However, I add bout 1/4 cup of synthetic 5-10-10 at planting or if a disease is taking over. To promote growth. Keep in mind my tomatoes are grown indoor early so they are larger than the one you buy at the nursery. You can see the change in a couple days. Color gets so much darker and the grows faster. This change always worries me. Your change was probably very gradual and didnt notice it until it was wrinkled.

And I would stop the Maxicrop altogether. You have already added too much potassium. This stuff is 0-0-17. The toromite is 4-3-8. With organic fertilizers you literally use all of the NPK so 4% nitrogen every two weeks is too much. I fertilize my tomatoes with a liquid and a dry fertilizer each once per month and they do fantastic. The dry fertilizer on about the first of the month and the liquid on about the 15th. The dry is 3-2-3 and the liquid is 6-12-6. Once the low temperatures at night exceed about 74F I stop with the liquid. I only use the liquid to promote blooming.

lol think this way....call it the way of the plant...say you earned your green belt when you get it right.

The plants breathe once per day.Its the transpiration process.

What would that mean to your heart rate? What would it mean to your need to eat?

Stop beiing such a mammal!
