Plant avocado in the ground... when?

Hi,

I grafted some avocado plants 1.5 years ago and they're doing well- about 3 feet tall in pots. I'm getting conflicting info as to when to plant them in the ground- some say now is fine, some say wait until things warm up a bit, others say fall is the best time. This is zone 10b. Should I plant them now or wait? Thanks so much.

I would wait until Spring, even where you are.
