I ordered my Yucca plant online. It is just 3-days old. I just noticed today that the middle of its trunk is somewhat smaller compared to the whole trunk which is not the case when I received it. After inspection, I confirmed that the middle to the the top portion of its stem is soft. Should let it be with the hope that it will recover on its own or remove the soft portion of the stem so that I can propagate the remaining stem. FYI the roots are minimal when I got the plant. After removing the rotted portion, I have now even shorter roots (see pic)..
