Yellowing Portugese Laurel

Hello, im new here and new to gardening in general. I bought my first house and have planted a lot of beautiful garden but i feel very out of my depth with it! i have a 2 year old Portuguese laurel that was doing quite well until recently. I thought it was just an issue with yellowing leaves so after some research ive upped the watering this week and given it some hedge fertiliser.

I had a closer look today and it looks like theres multiple issues, browning leaves, holes, somethings eating it and the new shoots are brown and dried out.

Any thoughts?

I would take some samples and the pics to a nursery and ask them. They’ll ask you lots of questions about how you care for it.
