Hi, I was given this Monstera by a family member in August 2020. I repotted it a month ago and after removing it from its pot I could see that there was no soil left in it, it was so root bound it looked like dry pot noodle under some grit that had been placed on top.

I soaked the roots while I potted it in new soil, and haven't watered it since but there is mould growing on the top of the soil and the two lower leaves are looking BAD.

Does anyone know what I can try??

I wouldn't have soaked the roots,as long as you didn't do it for very long it should be alright. I'd take the yellow leaves off and let it dry out, the mould could be the soil that you used.
