Hello all. I am wondering if there is such a thing as yellow skinned buttercup. It's possible a different seed got put into the buttercup packet. I can not figure out what kind of squash this could be. In the picture you will see the squash in question right next to a typical buttercup.

I got a golden skinned Buttercup, off the same vine as green-skinned ones, grown from last year's seed I'd saved from home grown organic buttercups. Nothing I can think of was cross-pollinated. It's 4x the size of the others, about 6 pounds. I plan on cultivating a new variety from this unusual specimen (as I've been advised), but will see what happens. I understand it's difficult to verify and establish a new variety but will give it my best shot as she's such a beauty!
