I bought a green bell pepper plant from Bonnie. https://bonnieplants.com/product/bonnie-s-green-bell-pepper/

Even though it states 'green pepper', will it turn red if left on the plant, or is green going to be the final color?
It will turn yellowish orange and then red when fully mature. Bell peppers are sold green because they don't require as much labor. Look at the price of red bell peppers as to green ones. Plus, red peppers are not as firm as green ones which adds to the greens popularity.

Ok. Thank you. I thought since it was called "green pepper" it would mean that it ONLY stayed green.

Lol, now I know why the green peppers are always so much cheaper! Reds are my favorite, with yellows being close behind. We have one that produces dark purple fruits, and they are lovely! Our "green chilie plant" produces red chilies as well.
