Being an avid vegetable gardener my daughter thought it only natural to ask me if I would grow some wildflowers for her friends wedding in May. I've grown some flowers with limited results in the past but had no luck with wildflowers. On top of all this I'm in Michigan and it's below freezing all the time so I'll have to grow them inside. I have a greenhouse that I can heat if i have to. I also have a basement grow room. Any suggestions on varieties and growing methods will be helpful.

Sounds like fun to me. If you can invest in a low-wattage LED grow light you and start the seeds anytime and grow them indoors until the wedding. I love growing basil and lettuce indoors under a small grow light. It's so easy. You can set up a small closet with a 90-watt or 180-watt LED on a timer and grow a lot of wildflowers. If you need any help let me know and I will be glad to help.

Here's what you need to get started.
Light
light timer
small fan
planting trays or pots
seed starting mix
wildflower seeds

Here is a good low-cost light for wildflowers at $39

BLOOM PLUS LED Grow Light BP 1000W 2x2ft Coverage Sunlike Full Spectrum Grow Light for Indoor Plants

Good luck
