What is causing my cucumbers to grow fat and round like a balloon not fully blown up instead of long and thin? Also, they are yellow and white and have been since they started growing? I'm i

Where did the plants originate? There are varieties that look like this. On the other hand cues will turn yellow if they are over ripe, that won't count if they were always like it, or if they are over watered, unlikely if you have previous experience, and also not that easy, they like quite a lot of water. I am inclined to the idea of a rogue seed from a yellow variety, is it multiple plants or just one ?

It could be, if the cucumber was green when young, a variety of Lemon Cucumbers. It could be from over/under fertilizing. It could be from improper pollination. It could be from too much water. What does the cucumber taste like? Like a cucumber or is it bitter. But from the pictures I would guess improper or a lack of pollination.

I don't remember the variety other than the picture showed long, green cucumbers. The one I tasted was very bitter, so I'm hesitant to bring the others in the house. If I overwatered ( a good possibility) would that cause the color/shape and bitterness? If the plants were improperly pollinated, how would they even produce any fruit? All of the cucumbers look like the ones in the pictures.

Overwatering can cause bitterness although the shape and color is more common. I think IMPROPER pollination is the problem. A lack of pollination causes abortion of baby cucs. Improper pollination causes deformities and a failure of fruits to mature. In reality a fruit goes from infancy to old age leaving out the growing process. In any event I doubt if any of the yellow cucs will be edible.
