I only have room for one of these: Butternut Squash, Honeydew Melon, or Watermelon. I have no clue which one to plant because I like them all equally.

Which one is easiest/will have less problems to grow?

I think you will have better luck with the winter squash. It takes up a lot less room and grows in a wider variety of soils.

I was thinking the same thing. Plus, I have more experience with winter squash.

Wow. Looks good. Luckily, I already bought the butternut squash seeds from Home Depot a few months ago. I was just wondering if I wanted something else instead.

I will use that website to buy other seeds though. They do look good.

just to add. I make a "pumpkin" pie out of the butternut squash for guests, and at holiday time. I just serve it, with the whip cream, (say nothing) the guests see, taste it, and say, Oh Yummy pumpkin pie. I just smile. Just use the same amount of the squash as a pumpkin pie recipe calls for, then the rest of the spices, cream/or the canned milk and the eggs. whip all, pour in to a crust, bake as it says. truly. no one knows. shhh, my secret. And I think its better for you also.

That's a great idea! I love pumpkin pie! If this is a good enough substitute that even your guests couldn't figure out, then it's gonna be perfect for me!!

I love all three, but having to choose just one to grow, I'd go with butternut squash. It stores well, can be used in a variety of dishes (roasted with apple slices is delicious), and requires less water than honeydews or watermelons.
