When will Wild Barley start producing seeds? What do the seeds look like, and how big they are? For how long can the Wild Barley plant live?

This grass is not a Barley (Hordeum spp.). It looks like Rip-gut Brome (Bromus diandrus).

As for when it will produce seeds, the plant pictured is in the process of producing seeds. When the grass spikelets dry and turn light brown, the seed in each floret will be fully mature.
