this depends on what zone you live in.. going to use my zone which is 7 ok 7a it's only a couple days apart..whoop pee
my ldf is april 15th....
not all zone 7's are the same look at the map i posted earlier..... know your local area weather...
going to use a basic list of veggies to start ahead of time indoors...
6-8 weeks.......
tomatoes
peppers
eggplant
brussels sprouts
artichokes
4-6 weeks...... one reason i will start these ahead of time indoors will get a jump on a spring harvest, plus there are a cool weather crops...
lettuce
kale
broccoli/cauliflower
bok chio
herbs
flowers
2-3 weeks..
cucumbers
1-2 weeks
melons
note just because starting melons 1-2 weeks, it take about 2-3 weeks more for the soil to hit the proper temperature...
the list goes on and on...
so basically in late January have you game plan set....
quite a few veggies do not do well sowing indoors.. best to direct sow them outdoors..
