Hello,
I have this Red robin in my small patio garden.
It doesn't get any direct sunlight at the base but my patio gets hot in the summer and is pretty well protected in the winter.
I would like to add some interest to the base of this pot (not the empty ones, that's for another thread!) and wonder what the rules are.
eg
will other plants survive and thrive with a Red Robin?
Could I grow a mixture of plants underneath like Hellebore, Coral Bells and Coleus (I understand none of these plants need direct sunlight). Would they all happily grow together at the base of a red robin?
I am trying to imagine a nice evergreen display bursting out from the base. Am I on the right lines?
Any thoughts gratefully received.
