Years ago I had this statue of Mary in another part of the back yard. I had Clematis (Pope John Paul II) growing up it, and it was beautiful.
I have since relocated the statue elsewhere, and onto a concrete pad. It's full sun back there, but the area is covered by a sprinkler system.
Can't find the JPII Clematis any longer; and have had suggestions all over the board about what to grow up the arbor (Roses, Clematis, Honey Suckle).
The arbor is 38 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 90 inches tall. The arbor sides are 4.5 inches from the edge of the concrete pad. (See photos below)
I can follow instructions to a tee, but am not creative or artistic. Please help me select something to accent the statue. My hope is for two bits of advice:
Thanks in advance for your kindness and experience.

- Suggestions for what to plant
- Guidance on whether I should stick to one type of plant, or mix two together
