What plant does this seed belong to?

They blew in my window this summer, like a dandelion seed but heavier and with the elegant twist!

turns out it is a geranium seed

It's a Pelargonium seed not Geranium.

Ah, thank you, I wasn't aware of that distinction.

Pelargoniums have wrongly been called Geraniums for many years and it's only recently that they've started to be called by their right name.
