I honestly have no idea. Can you get a clearer picture and one of the whole plant? I know virtually nothing about Australian pests and diseases, but I’ll give it my best shot.

Picture is blurry. Could it be rust, a fungus? It would be unusual for rust to just be in one singular spot though.

Could possibly be insect eggs too but it looks more like a fungus.

Here are a few photos. It’s likely eggs or similar, I’ve seen it elsewhere in the neighbourhood (in bigger size), I can’t get any closer or it blurs..
Please let me know,
I’m going to scrape it off if we don’t know, before it hatches (if eggs), though I obviously want to leave it if it’s good bugs.

Since there is no yellowing around the spot, it’s more likely eggs than disease. Beneficial or pest eggs I can’t say.
