What is this tiny red bug? central ohio

they are very little, the thermometer is only like 2 inches by 2 inches

Kind of looks like an assassin bug nymph but your pic isn't clear enough to tell for sure.

Look them up on the net and compare them. If they are assassin bug nymphs, whatever you do, DO NOT kill them. They eat up the bad bugs in your garden.

Look at pictures of leaf footed stink bug nymphs and assassin bug nymphs. Assassin bug nymphs and leaf footed stinkbug nymphs are VERY similar in appearance. Assassin bugs good, leaf-footed stink bugs bad.

in looking at pictures of both assassin and leaf footed stink bug nymphs, I am thinking it was the leaf footed stink bug. I also remembered that I saw an adult stink bug on window a day or 2 prior, so maybe they laid eggs? they have moved on. thanks for the info from you both☺
