Sorry, but that's not a squash, it is a gourd and looks very similar to a variety called Autumn Wings. It is grown for decorative purposes and is not edible.
I bought a bunch of pumpkins and decorative gourds last fall and threw them in the backyard when they rotted. Then this sprouted. It grew itself!I am from England, so not familiar with squash, but that really is different. Did you grow it, or did it grow itself?
