What is this bush?

Another inherited plant from the previous house owners. The leaves started out green but have turned a beautiful bronze red.

That is Nandina domestica, also known as Heavenly Bamboo. It isn't a bamboo, the stems just look "bamboo-ey".It's a member of the Barberry family. It produces panicles of small white flowers that turn into bright red berries in the fall. They are toxic to American birds that fortunately find them unappealing.
