What is this, and is it harmful to corn?

Good morning all,

There seems to be a frequent visitor to my younger corn stalks and despite my few hours of research I still cannot identify this pest. I would imagine any insect or bug would be harmful, but I have not noticed any areas where this bug in specific is eating leaves, or anything. Could someone assist in identifying this insect, and tell me what my concerns should be regarding my corn? He seems to have pinchers on one end, and just over an inch long in entirety.
I would appreciate any assistance! For reference, I am in 5b (Colorado Springs).

That is an earwig. They can be both beneficial and harmful. Google earwig in corn for more info

Earwig! I have them around my garden but they don't seem to do any damage.
