What is this a awesome weird plant

I saw it growing in an abandoned lot in Philly. Not sure if it’s a weed but I think it’s gorgeous. I’d be indebted if someone could help me identify it. Thanks in advance!

Leaves are alternate, twice-pinnately compound (fernlike), Mimosa has the same type of leaves. Maybe someone will know shortly.

It’s an Acacia, I just can’t figure out the species. You can sprout the seeds by boiling water, remove from flame, add seeds and let cool overnight. They usually sprout in a couple of weeks.

I think that's a sensitive plant - maybe Mimosa pudica. :unsure:

Mimosa has more “bean pod” like fruit.
The Acacias I can find with a quick search all have simple leaves instead of ferny ones, but I’ll keep looking.
