What grass do I have.

I know I have a lot of weeds in it but I can't fathom which species of grass i have it seems to have thick blades, I thought that was usually only southern grasses. I'm in CT.

No way to help you with that pic.Rip some out that HASNOTBEENCUT but is at maturity such that leaf propagation and other details might be plainly observed might help.

OK I hope these are better we haven't mowed in a week or so, I hope this is what you mean by "maturity". I cut a section of sod up and took a couple of pics so you can see the roots and all.
