Can anyone tell me what this is growing in my raised garden bed? We have a number of vegetables growing in here, but this seems to be taking over the soil! I think whatever it is was in the soil as we did see them the end of the season last year when we had pumpkins in this spot. We thought we had clear it up enough and added new top soil. It grows in clumps with roots. We pull them, we have sprayed with neem oil, but they continue to return and take over if we done Lee up with it. I am wondering if we will be safe to eat the vegetables that come out of here and if there is anything we can do to get rid of them. Thank you for your help!!

That is just the fruiting bodies of fungi. All it is doing is breaking down dead organic matter into a form your plants can uptake. It is a sign of healthy soil and nothing to worry about.
