What are these eggs growing in my window boxes and what do I do?

I was removing some old plants from my window boxes when I found these gross little eggs. We had a problem with vine weevil eating my heucheras the other month. Could these be vine weevil eggs? Or something else?

What should I do about it?

Leave them alone, I'm sure they are earthworm eggs - what do you think? I looked for a photo and found this one

we need earthworms.

They don't look yellow enough to me, maybe the photo, but translucent or white I would think slug eggs in my garden, but the vine weevil eggs do look like that too.
