Weed of the year

I seem to get a different weed dominant each year, last year it was chick weed, this year there is hardly any of it and I have black medic everywhere, a right pain. spreading habit that makes it difficult to tell where it comes from and a tap root. I wonder what I will get next year?

Catch them before they go to seed.

I think I have a super abundance of every single weed I can think of here in one corner or another - take your pick, and I'll send you a few seeds

Oh yes, I have all the others as well, but one always seems to dominate. Why do they call it 'Black medic'? It's green with yellow flowers.

Maybe it's black because of the seed pods. I believe medick is something to do with Iran, where it possibly came from originally ?
