Walnut tree type identification

Hello, my family planted this walnut/pecan tree years ago i was hoping you guys could help identify it.

Are you 100% positive that it is a walnut? All of the walnuts I have seen are basically round. Also, I have never seen black marks on the hull of walnuts. These look just like pecans.

no i'm not sure its a walnut

Then that is a pecan. There are literally dozens of varieties of pecans. There are long ones, short ones, hard to shell ones and paper hull ones. But one thing they all share is that they are much easier to shell than walnuts.

I agree with Chuck again, it's a Pecan. Looks like they're in the same family as Walnuts, Juglandaceae :)
