My grandfather's favourite walnut tree is becooming compleatly dry and the leaves are falling. Can you smart gardeners help out and identify what the problem is?
Does it have advantageous growth from the middle of the trunk, and a general failure to grow at the tips of the normal branches? Those mid shoots are signs of decline and are not called suckers like I thought. An arborist taught me that when he came to treat a tree here. This pic is how they gave the treatment systemically. I cannot make much of your picture either, its hard to see the nature of the problem
