again, it depends on the area I plant in. and when I want them to bloom, and what is blooming near them. and the type of tulip I want.

many of these tulips he has shown are for sunny areas and they bloom out later. on my property, with all my trees, I have to focus on very early tulips that will bloom "before" the trees have leaves, those tend to be shorter type, but can be colorful.
