Reading gardening forums and exploring my own yard I get excited at seeing all the flower buds. Like a kid at Christmas i have a lot of anticipation for the presents to open. Here are a few clematis photos from previous years. Feel free to share your own.

The dr. Ruppel is so vibrant and gorgeous! Mine is a Nelly Moser, it is prolific both in flowers and in multiplying itself by seeds as well as layering. The second was a seedling, I think a cross of Jackamanii and duchess of Edinburg, I’d have to look up the third one in the midst of the fall or Japanese anemone. The last is a jackamanii that totally went crazy engulfing my shed and I had to move. What a robust plant.
