It is a pelargonium..... this one is called ''melosilver''

They are pretty tough and are happy in dry situations. Some of them have very sweet scented leaves, and there is a lemon scented one that repels flies.
The geraniums are a slightly different bunch of plants that include ones like ''johnson's blue''

these are also really good in hot dry situations.

The plant Vette Kid has shown is a Pelargonium. They used to be classified as Geraniums but it is now known they are very different plants.

If the leaves smell like gone off tobacco then its probably a Pelargonium...

To be precise, this is Pelargonium 'Mrs. Pollock'. A hybrid bred by Mrs. M. Grieve in 1858 (P. 'Emperor of the French' x P. 'Gold Pheasant'). It should be distinguished from another, similar cultivar: Pelargonium 'Mr. Henry Cox', bred by H. Cannell & Sons in 1879, which has similar leaf coloration, but less leaf lobing. The flower color also varies, being orange-red on P. 'Mrs. Pollock' and light Pink on P. 'Mr. Henry Cox'.
