Hello, can anyone please tell me what is happening to my cherry blossom tree ? It's been fine for 10 plus years, and this year, the blooms were reduced in spring. This is what it looks like now (we are in Australia and it is late spring). The leaves are very damaged particularly the new growth. Many thanks for your help. Jasmine

Hi @jazzcherie . Welcome to the forums. It is very difficult to answer your question without a few more clues, as there are a few possible answers. It seems obvious that your tree is under stress of some kind, but hard to determine what. Have you had excessive rainfall in the preceding couple of months or so? Can you see any unwelcome insect activity? Are any other shrubs or trees in the vicinity showing similar problems? And, could you tell us which part of Australia you are in?
Looking again at the leaves, I can see white patches here and there - this might be thrip damage, or possibly a mildew?
