We're redecorating our kitchen at the moment, and I want to have more plants in there. Our only South-facing window in the house is in there, and it's a really pretty bay window. I've been toying with the idea of having a two-tiered planter hung on each pillar (ie one between each window). So they would be behind the pillar and won't get a massive amount of direct sunlight, but it is quite a warm sunny spot.
I've been thinking that it would be nice to have some trailing plants, and I was wondering if anyone here had any good suggestions? I'm wondering if orchids might work well because of the indirect but bright light, but I'd also like some greenery too. I quite like the String of Pearls plants, but I've never had any experience with them. Any ideas?
